Tokens

Date 02/09/2023

Local currency

You can put your banknotes away inside the festival grounds. They won't be very useful for eating out. The local currency is the token.

What are tokens for?

Tokens are mainly used for drinking and eating.

To give you an idea of the cost of drinks:

  • for 1 token you can buy a small beer, flügel, soda or water
  • for 1.5 tokens you can have a desperado or an energy drink
  • for 2 tokens you can have large beers
  • for 2.5 tokens or more, you get cocktails.

And on the food side, it generally starts from 2 tokens for croque-monsieur and goes up to a maximum of 4 tokens for pizzas.

I'll go into more detail about catering in a future article.

Note that tokens can also be useful for taking hot showers. I invite you to read the relevant article if you haven't already done so.

The biggest fans (or airheads) will leave with at least 1 token in their wallet as a souvenir. Manage them wisely on the spot if you don't want to keep any, as they won't be taken back from one year to the next. If you do, you'll certainly be starting a magnificent plastic collection.

There's no shortage of distributors, and you'll find them everywhere.

How do I get tokens?

You'll find tokens everywhere (in the campsite, in the village or directly inside the festival).

As for prices, in 2022 a token was worth 3.6€ and in 2023 it was worth 3.8€. We're betting on 4€ in 2024?

There are two possible means of payment for tokens: credit cards or banknotes. Personally, I'm not in favor of hopping on the bass with my pockets full of banknotes or having to turn my tent into a safe, but feel free to bring your preferred means of payment.

Tip: look down from time to time or when you're walking. If you're lucky, you'll find some on the ground. After all, one man's loss is another man's gain, right? On a more serious note, don't be that unfortunate and be careful when handling them so as not to lose them.
