Get some height!

New mission of the day, to discover what this famous plateau is.

On the way, we came across a few mills, which were vital in the past to irrigate the fields and provide water for animals and plants.

But nowadays their presence is only a majestic reminder of the past.

As uninformed tourists, we typed "lassithi plateau" on our GPS.

We didn't know that we were going to arrive on one of the sides of this famous plateau, without really knowing that we were going to arrive directly on it.

And arriving on a totally flat ground... we won't hide it, we wanted to enjoy it differently.

New destination: the entrance of the Psychro cave. Located at the edge of the plateau, it's perfect.

We arrive at the start of the route that will take us to the entrance of the cave.

As you may have guessed, the previous picture showed some clues that the path we took was not only for humans.

On our side, we were too excited to see this detail, and so we naturally walked... on the donkey path. donkey path lassithi plateau.

As much as the climb was steep for us, the donkeys are familiar with the terrain and look great watching us climb each step.

Almost at the entrance of the Psychro cave, we turn to look at the view, and there, miracle, there it is, our viewpoint.
